where have your travels taken you?
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO CHINA?
As soon as I was able to read, I taught myself how to use chopsticks, and always wondered why everything was
“Made in China”.
I had always been interested in the idea of traveling, exploring, and speaking other languages, but collegiate athletics made study abroad impossible. So I did the next best thing... with no knowledge of Chinese, nor any contacts in China, I secured an English teaching position at the Shanghai Finance University upon graduation and bought a one-way ticket.
Building meaningful relationships with coworkers, locals, and long-term expats in a short time allowed me ample practice for my new mandarin skills and to also genuinely experience the culture of Shanghai and China.
Photos & Stories from my TRAVELS.
When I do something or go somewhere of interest (and get a second to write about it) I'll post it here so I can keep track of it all ...and maybe even inspire someoneComing Soon
